My ultimate passion is that 'final rewrite' you get to via the cutting room. Nothing to me is more fulfilling than taking an idea as originally shot and elevating the piece by sweetening, rethinking, or sometimes completely reimagining the cut.
Fell into this world during my years at Bad Robot. Started with helping online Star Trek Into Darkness and by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I was the D.I. Supervisor. Have learned so much from this world and in modern post, knowing the intricacies of D.I. is an asset.
From being the Temp 5.1 Sound Mixer on The Force Awakens, 1st Assist on Overlord (coming 2018), I've had a diversity of responsibility. Many projects I worked on while at Bad Robot don't fit that well onto a resume, but I've worn nearly every hat around post.
